Propulsion Group
The propulsion group is divided into 4 sub-division and it involves 7 students.
Engine
The engine used is an Honda GX50. There are some changes that are been performed on the engine. Carburetor has been replaced with an injector.
Buffer
Super capacitors are used as energy buffer to run the motor instead of battery because of its pros and cons.
Motor and Generator
The motor is used to run the vehicle which is directly connected to the wheel instead of the engine been connected to the wheels directly. A controller is used to control it.
A Generator is used to generate the energy for the buffer and the motor which is directly connected to the engine output shaft in a series hybrid vehicle.
Simulation
A series hybrid model is designed in Matlab and simulation is performed on the same.
