The Weather Bowl

Conveying weather information - in color and movement.

The Weather Bowl is a project realised by 5 master's level students for the Ubiquitous Computing '09 course at Chalmers Tekniska Högskola (Chalmers University of Technology) in Gothenburg, Sweden.

The Weather Bowl consists of a lamp which receives weather data updates from the Internet and conveys it by changing its color and moving small particles inside it.
It aims to support Mark Weiser & John Seely's vision of calm technology - to convey information without demanding constant attention.

Weather Bowl är ett student projekt av Ubiquitous Computing '09, en kurs i Masters nivå på Chalmers Tekniska Högskola i Göteborg, Sverige.
Projektet är en lamp som hämtar väder information från Internet och visar som färg och rörelse.
Projektets mot är att bekräfta Mark Weiser och John Seelys ideé av "calm technology" - att kommunicera information utan kravar att alltid titta på en enhet.
